Hey cousins!
Before we dive into the first issue of Straps and the City, I just want to take a moment to share why this project means so much to me.
I poured a lot of love into it because I wanted to create something for queer Black people, by a queer Black person.
Finding content made specifically for us is harder than it should be. We're usually placed somewhere in the background if we even get that.
So for this project, I’m putting us front and center where we belong.
I decided to make Issue #1 free because I love my community and want you to get a taste of the vibes before deciding whether to commit financially. Free subscribers also get a single-use unlock for Issue #2 (part 1).
And each paid post has a nice hefty preview.
As a free subscriber, you’ll still get teasers, essays, sampler playlists, and more. Because at the end of the day, I do it for the hood!
This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see how Straps and the City grows and expands over time.
If you vibe with the free content, consider supporting by becoming a paid subscriber. You’ll get access to full issues, full playlists, a private Discord server, and more.
I hope you stay around and kick it with me!
